Reach: how far does your message travel?

The third lens leaves your website and reads the open web. Visibility, share of voice, and whether other people describe you the way you would.

Fidelity and Content Quality read your own pages. Reach asks what happens off your property: when the market searches for you, talks about you, and compares you, what actually comes back?

We run real, brand-anchored web searches (your name, your reviews, your alternatives, the "versus" queries buyers actually type) and score the evidence they return. Reach is part of Brand Echo Pro; free scans show where it would sit on the quadrant.

The six dimensions

  • Branded presence. Search your name, and your own pages should dominate. Are you easy to find, or crowded out?
  • Share of voice. In the alternatives and comparison results, do you show up on your own terms, or only inside a competitor's page?
  • Third-party mentions. Independent sites (news, blogs, forums) referencing you unprompted, not your own pages or directory spam.
  • Review presence. Are you on the review platforms your buyers actually check?
  • Community footprint. Do you surface on the social and community platforms where your audience already is?
  • Off-site message match. When other people describe you, does it match your message, or has the echo drifted?

That last dimension is the one no grader measures. Being visible isn't the goal; being visible as yourself is. A brand can rank everywhere and still be described as "kind of like the other tools." That's a Reach problem wearing an SEO costume.

What Reach is, honestly

Reach is a visibility signal, not a traffic number. We don't have your analytics in this lens, and we'll never pretend to. No invented visitor counts, no invented search volumes, no invented rankings. Every signal cites the search result it came from, and a thin evidence set gets scored conservatively and flagged directional. Why we're strict about this.

What moves the score

  1. Claim your review surfaces. If your buyers check a review platform and you're not there, that's the fastest gap to close.
  2. Earn third-party words. Guest content, podcasts, partner case studies: places where someone else describes you, in language you'd recognize.
  3. Tighten the message first. Off-site descriptions echo your on-site message with a delay. Fix Fidelity now and Reach follows later.
